Troubleshooting

Sometimes users report a fault but you can't reproduce it. This can be a very difficult situation to deal with. The user might escalate it as a serious business problem, but until you can reproduce it you can't even be sure it's real.

Often the reason you can't reproduce the fault is that it occurs:

  • for the user and not for an administrator or technician
  • at apparently random times, or for different people at different times.
